Position Title: Assistant Program Manager / Operations Coordinator
Organization: Maine Public Broadcasting Network
Description: We are searching for an organized, talented and energetic individual with knowledge of public broadcasting and an array of radio broadcast experience to help manage and coordinate MPBN's radio programming and operations. Based in Portland, this position includes working in close concert with the VP of Radio in the design, planning, coordinating and managing of program schedules, and is responsible for the acquisition and distribution of selected programs. You will also be responsible for radio master control operation; program hosting and production duties; Web content planning and updates; supervising staff and budgets; writing correspondence, reports and publications; assisting with special projects and events; and participating in on-air fundraising. Qualifications/Requirements: You should have at least three years of radio broadcast operations experience, including supervisory, and a bachelor's degree in broadcasting or related field. Familiarity and ease with computers and digital applications essential. Ability to work under deadline pressure as a team member or alone is essential. Program hosting and radio production skills highly desirable as is knowledge of classical, jazz or AAA announcing. Experience updating and maintaining Web site content a plus.
